Year: 2022
Grape: 100% Barbera
Alcohol content: 14%
Characterization: A garnet red-coloured, dark and full-bodied wine. On the one hand a great mixture of dark berries and spices, on the other hand succulence of ripe blackberries, cherries and plums. Harmonious taste with soft tannins.
Area: Treiso
Vinification and aging: 10 days of controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Serving temperature: 17 °C, Bordeaux glass.
Pairing: Excellent with the more flavoursome Piedmontese dishes, from mixed boiled meats to the anchovy and garlic-based “bagna caoda”; generally a great match too for cooked and raw cold cuts, stewed meats, and medium-mature fatty cheeses.
Storing: Ready to enjoy a little over 1 year following the harvest, it keeps nicely for 5-8 years, and even longer in the better vintages. Cellaring recommended with the bottle lying down in the dark at a constant temperature.
